School Police Officers
School Police: Safety and Support

The Governor Mifflin School District is committed to a safe learning environment, supported by our team of four certified School Police Officers. Each officer is a retired Pennsylvania municipal police veteran and is specially certified through the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO) to serve within a school setting.
Our officers maintain a visible and active presence across all campuses to ensure the security of our students, staff, and visitors. More than just security, they embrace the NASRO TRIAD model, serving as:
-
Educators: Teaching students and staff about safety, law, and critical thinking.
-
Mentors/Informal Counselors: Building positive relationships and connecting students with necessary support.
-
Law Enforcement: Providing professional, immediate response and service when needed.
-
Law Enforcement Liaisons: School Police Officers maintain close partnerships with local and state law enforcement agencies to enhance the safety and security of the district and surrounding communities.
This comprehensive approach promotes a secure atmosphere built on positive interactions and trust.
