2025 Homecoming Schedule of Events:

Sunday, September 28, 2025; 5:30-9:00 PM: Homecoming Parade, Mifflin Movie Night, and Fill The Truck Event

Join us for an evening of FREE family fun to celebrate Homecoming week! The parade will kick off at 5:30 PM from the Governor Mifflin Middle School parking lot. After, we invite our school community to join us for a FREE showing of Dreamworks’ “Home” in Governor Mifflin Stadium starting at sundown (approx. 7:00 PM). Bring a blanket and settle in for an evening of fun on the field! GMEF will also be collecting donated items for their “Fill the Truck” initiative with Community Aid on-site!

Thursday, October 2, 2025; 6:00-7:30 PM: Literacy Under the Lights

This awesome FREE event for grades K-6 brings community members together for story time and literacy activities on the Multipurpose Field.

Friday, October 3, 2025; Starting at 7:00 PM: GMHS Football v. Conestoga Valley

Come on out to cheer on our Mustangs as they take on Conestoga Valley! We’ll be introducing our GMHS Homecoming Court during halftime* and our GMMS musicians will be joining the GMHS band for an especially spirited performance!

*PLEASE NOTE: Our Homecoming Royalty WINNERS will be announced and crowned on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at the GMHS Homecoming Dance.

Spirit Days

Our families asked and we listened-- this year, our themes are the same across all schools in the district for Homecoming... no more keeping track of crazy hair day at one school and gold and maroon day at another! Daily themes are as follows:

• Monday, 9/29: Adam Sandler Day... take some inspiration from movie star Adam Sandler’s famously comfy wardrobe and sport your baggy t-shirts, basketball shorts, and sneakers!

• Tuesday, 9.30: Mifflin Pride Day... gold and maroon galore! We want to see you donning your greatest Governor Mifflin gear and all things that represent Mustang Nation!

• Wednesday, 10/1: On Wednesdays We Wear Pink... take a note from the classic 2000’s film and dress pretty in pink! Trust us, you’ll look “so fetch!”

• Thursday, 10/2: Duo Day... Grab a friend (or two!) and dress up as your favorite duo or group! Whether it’s a classic duo like Buzz and Woody, a group like Scooby Doo and the Mysteries Inc. team, or even a pairing like Danny and Sandy from Grease, this day is all about being better together!

• Friday, 10/3: Freaky Friday... The student becomes the teacher... and the teacher becomes the student?! We want to see our students dressed up in their best “teacher” outfits, while the teachers show us their best “student” cosplay!
