A Final Letter From Mr. McKay

Dear Governor Mifflin Community,
As my tenure as a member of the Governor Mifflin School District comes to an end, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey we have shared over the past seven years. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve this remarkable community, and I want to express my deepest gratitude for the opportunity you have given me to make a positive impact on the lives of our Governor Mifflin students.

Throughout my time here, I have witnessed the unwavering dedication and passion of our educators and support staff. Their tireless efforts and commitment to the success of our students have been truly inspiring. Together, we have worked as a team to create an environment where our students could thrive and reach their full potential. It is this collective dedication that has laid the foundation for a bright and promising future for the Governor Mifflin School District.

I am immensely proud of the progress we have made together. The district now stands on solid ground, equipped with an excellent teaching faculty, wonderful support personnel, a strong administrative team, and a supportive school board. These pillars of our community are the driving force behind the success we have achieved. With their continued dedication, I have no doubt that the Governor Mifflin School District will soar to new heights under the leadership of Dr. Hess and Dr. Libby.

To the students, families, and staff of Governor Mifflin, I want to express my sincerest gratitude for the trust and support you have bestowed upon me. It has been a privilege to work alongside such a vibrant and diverse community. Your passion for learning, your resilience in the face of challenges, and your unwavering spirit have left an indelible mark on my heart.

As I bid farewell to Mustang Nation, I carry with me memories that will be cherished forever. The countless moments of laughter, the triumphs and struggles we faced together, and the bonds we forged will forever hold a special place in my heart. It is because of each and every one of you that my time at Governor Mifflin has been an extraordinary chapter in my life.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your lives and for entrusting me with the responsibility of guiding our students towards their dreams. It is with a mix of gratitude, humility, and excitement that I step aside, knowing that the future of the Governor Mifflin School District is in capable hands.  I am forever grateful for the opportunity to have served alongside you, and I eagerly anticipate the amazing future that lies ahead for Mustang Nation!
