Governor Mifflin School District Community:

After two days of collaboration with our local law enforcement and other agencies, there has been no evidence found to substantiate the threat which was received on Tuesday, April 18.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank our local law enforcement for their work on this case and for their increased presence on our campuses during this time, our staff for their tireless support of our students, and for our students and families for adapting to these uncertain times.

We would also like to thank those who have been patient while waiting for this update. While we understand the desire for additional information, we ask our community to trust that we will always update you with any and all information we have available as soon as we are able to do so. We also would like to reassure our community that, during this time, we have worked with fervor to ensure that our students across the district are safe within our schools.

We will continue to follow the current increased safety protocols in place at the middle school and high school campuses through the remainder of the week. Additional communication will be provided prior to Monday regarding next week. If you have any questions regarding security protocol at your child’s school going forward, please contact your child’s principal directly.

We would again like to take this opportunity to thank Shillington Police Department, Berks County Sheriff's Office, other local law enforcement agencies, our students, staff, and families for their patience, concern, and cooperation during this difficult time.

Sincerely,
Governor Mifflin School District
