A notice regarding free and reduced lunch at GMSD for the 2022-2023 school year.
As of June 30, 2022, the federal free school meals program, which provided free breakfast and lunch to all students throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, has officially expired. As such, for the 2022-2023 school year, our school meal prices will be as follows:
- Elementary Breakfast – $1.60
- Elementary Lunch – $2.60
- Secondary Breakfast – $1.75
- Secondary Platter – $2.75
Please note that free and reduced lunch programs are available for low-income families meeting the National Breakfast and Lunch Program guidelines. In order to receive this benefit, you MUST apply online at www.schoolcafe.com. Eligible applications will receive an approval letter from our Food Service Director. You may also reapply at any time during the school year if there are any changes to your household income. Those receiving state benefits (such as SNAP benefits) are automatically eligible for this program and do not need to apply
If you have any questions regarding the application process for free and reduced meals, please visit https://www.governormifflinsd.org/departments/food-services/ or contact Laura Gudikunst, Director of Food Services, at 610-775-5083, Ext. 3012 or via email at laura.gudikunst@gmsd.org.
