Technological Resource Acceptable Use
Governor Mifflin School District values technology and encourages its use in creative ways to support student learning in a safe and secure learning environment. GMSD School Board Policy 815
While these technologies provide powerful learning opportunities, they must be used responsibly. Student technological resources are the School Districtʼs property.
All students will be provided with a technological resource, such as a Chrombeook, by the school district. Students arriving at Governor Mifflin from another district will be provided a technological resource. such as a Chromebook, upon arrival at Governor Mifflin. Students leaving the school district must hand in their devices on their last day.
Student technological resource use must abide by the Student Code of Conduct. Students are responsible for the general care of the technical resources they have been issued by the district.
Technological resources that are broken or fail to work properly must be taken to the School Technology Coordinator (STC) for inspection. If a technological resource cannot be fixed by the STC, a Replacement Form must be completed in order for a replacement to be issued.
