Late to Class

In order to maximize instructional time and minimize disruptions, it is crucial that students arrive on time for each class. Students are considered late for class if they are not in the classroom at the time the class begins. Students who are late to class must report directly to the teacher and provide a valid reason for their tardiness. Chronic lateness will be addressed through a tiered approach, beginning with a discussion between the teacher and student to understand the cause and followed by parental notification if the behavior persists. Continued lateness may lead to further interventions, including detention or other disciplinary actions as deemed appropriate by the school administration. We encourage parents to discuss with their children the importance of punctuality and to support them in developing good time management skills.
